Advisory Board

Sean Glass, prior to founding Higher One, co-founded the Yale Entrepreneurial Society and served as its founding President. Mr. Glass has served on the Board of Directors of the New Haven chapter of the Connecticut Venture Group and YES (Yale Entrepreneurial Society).

Jun-Ho Ko builds and designs websites. He is tall and handsome, and enjoys playing Wii with his four year old son, Eugene.

Mirweis Sangin, Usability guru, ensures that your experience while using Gurufi is as simple, seamless and enjoyable as possible. He recently received a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. He also holds a Masters Degree in cognitive sciences and a Masters of Advanced Studies degree in learning technologies. He is currently an independent consultant in usability and user experience with a specific focus on social media, collaboration tools and learning technologies.

Daniel Vekhter has wanted to be a teacher since third grade. As a middle schooler, he hid alphabet flashcards around the house to teach his little brother to read. In high school, he taught swimming lessons to children as young as three. While an undergrad at Yale, he tutored SATs and ACTs, in addition to being tutored himself in math and chemistry. These experiences have lead him to the belief that when it comes to education, smaller is better - even in this modern world, apprenticeship is still the best way to learn. Dan joined the Gurufi team to help bring this intimate style of learning to more people.
