Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions about which service is best for you, just email us at service@gurufi.com and we will be happy to work with you to find the right fit.

Absolutely. If you have multiple essays that are ready to be revised, you can submit them all at once in one order. If you’ve not yet begun, contact us at service@gurufi.com to either set up a consultation or have us suggest a plan of action. Often, the best path is to work together on one essay, and if the experience is positive, we can set up a bigger order to complete all of your essays! If you like this idea, place a Platinum (Consultation + Revision) order for your first essay, and get the ball rolling!

Consultation agendas vary depending on the needs of the individual client, but our main job is to develop your admissions positioning and brainstorm the best approach to the essay(s). At the end of the consultation, you will have a detailed outline of your essay that you can use as a guide to write a strong essay.

Yes, advisors often exchange a couple emails with clients after returning their revised essay to answer follow-up questions and address any lingering issues. Remember, most clients are happy with their first revision, but our job’s not finished until you’re satisfied with the essay. If needed, you won’t pay for additional rounds of editing on your essay.

Yes. The pricing structure is a bit different for those, and these consultations emphasize the critique and getting you back an immaculate copy.

All kinds. On staff, we have STEM, humanities, social science, and fine arts graduates who understand those fields. In short, we have an editor whose specialty aligns with what you’re looking for. When you place an order, you can either select the editor with that background or, if you don’t want to read our bios, we’ll do that work for you!

Yes. Our consultants all have graduate degrees. In fact, all of our consultants are either PhDs from Ivy League or Oxford / Cambridge or (for MFA applicants) Masters in Fine Arts from Ivy League schools. We are quite familiar with these kinds of essays and have collectively helped over 10,000 clients with them.

Yes! In fact, one of the things we love is hearing from former medical school clients when they return four years later for help with their residency letters. These letters aren’t quite like personal statements, and our revisions account for that.

Yes. We’ve helped hundreds of dental school, nursing school, and MPH applicants earn admission to their dream programs!

Yes. You can send them to us for revision one at a time or all at once. We understand the role of secondaries, and our editors do a great job of making sure these essays address what the schools are looking for while highlighting your strengths as an applicant.
